Happy New Year.
oh boy 40 degrees again. I haven’t mentioned Wudinna CP has an indoor pool! Trouble is it has a plastic roof – over 50 degrees in the room and only 24 in the pool. We’ve braved it a few times and just have to again today. Too hot to do any other exercise. Last meal in Sandy & Pete’s lovely restaurant – called Sturts after the Sturt Pea (flower of SA)
off to Streaky Bay – cooler 27 degrees. Take a 4K walk into town for provisions
We’re a bit like sardines here – we knew we would be in the summer holidays. Hence the 12 quiet days at Wudinna away from the beach over Christmas & New Year. Call us party poopers if you like.
Streaky Bay has a 9 hole golf course. $10 a day and play as much as you like – sand greens a first for me.
Time to try out the new battery golf trolley and get some excercise. Without the trolley we wouldn’t have played ’cause we’d have had to carry the clubs – not enjoyable. We were amazed it’s a great little course. Just did 9 holes as we haven’t played for ages. Trolley worked a dream – we just took 7 clubs each.
After lunch at the local pub we travelled up the coast to have a look
Perlubie Beach camping on Perlubie beach. What fun that must be. Lots of families and friends having a great time. Think Andrea & Steve would love it Marj. View to Perlubie Haslam BeachHaslam beach. Used to be port for wheat & sheep in 1800’s. There’s a lovely bush camp in the village – may use this when we come back to Ceduna
