25th Sept
Blustery rainy morning. 36 teams took part in the Holden Scramble. We didn’t win but we had some fun with Kasee & Ralee. Putting let us down – we kept missing by a millemetre!!!
The team Raelee, Kasee Ollie & I
The end of a lovely day. Sunset over the golf course. Lovely to catch up and reminisce over Chasing the Sun. Next year watch out Holden Scramble – the team is coming!!!
26th Sept
Took off to Coral Cove for a round of golf. Beautifully maintened course with great views
Plenty of wildlife on the numerous water traps!!!
On hole 5 we got held up, offered to let a single player through. Instead we all played together. Gary it turns out is here for 5 months baleing sugar cane from NSW – he & his wife are staying in the same CP!! Great fun. Coral Cove has a par 6!!!!! Ollie was feeling really chuffed as he reached the edge of the green in 4 – that all changed – why make a par 6 even more difficult by having a dome instead of a green!!!! – 4 putts later Ollie was not so chuffed!!!!
After our golf we went to Elliott Heads for coffee & ice cream – what a lovely spot. If only we’d had our swimmers.
Returned to our van via Innes Park and a place called Palm Lakes in Bargara. Back at the van we caught up with Anneke & Hans for nibbles & drinks
Tomorrow is a vets golf comp at Bargara – Wednesday will be a day of rest I think.
